Stone Flower Collection
Stone Flower Collection
Since ancient times, men have been portrayed as heroic figures; strong, silent, and emotionally restrained. In today’s more peaceful world, this historical necessity has faded. Men no longer need to armor themselves against vulnerability. Like women, they carry emotional depth, tenderness, and sensitivity; qualities that have long been silenced or overlooked. This collection seeks to reveal those inner landscapes.
At the same time, masculinity itself contains elements often labeled as feminine: delicacy, intuition, and a quiet, precious softness; like silk or polished stone. Stone Flower explores this duality, expressing the emotional nature and inner perspective of men through form, texture, and silhouette.
The origin of the collection is deeply personal. It is inspired by my seven-year-old son, Tenger, whose character embodies sensitivity, creativity, and emotional openness. He paints, sculpts imaginary creatures, and collects small treasures; coins, currencies, and, most importantly, stones. Stones are his greatest fascination. He studies books about them, dreams of building his own private museum, and carefully gathers stones of different shapes, colors, and sizes during our family trips to the countryside. At home, these collections become his “little museum.”
When I think of men, I inevitably think of my son, not as he will be, but as he is now. I reflect on what boys love, what captures their attention, and what they protect quietly in their hearts. There is a unique and irreplaceable love between a son and his mother, an intimacy and emotional purity that cannot be replicated elsewhere. Perhaps sons enter this world to offer their mothers a form of love that neither husbands nor fathers can fully provide.
Men may appear hard like rocks, shaped by expectation and tradition, yet inside they are as soft, fragile, and beautiful as flowers growing in open fields. In this sense, they are no different from us.
From this realization emerged the desire to create groom and groomsmen’s suits that express men’s inner emotions rather than suppress them. Weddings often celebrate the bride’s beauty, while the groom’s emotional presence remains understated. Yet men, too, are making a lifelong commitment. Stone Flower honors this moment by offering garments that allow grooms to appear elegant, sensitive, and distinct.
Particularly for Asian men; who are often culturally encouraged toward introversion, this collection proposes clothing as a space of freedom. Through fabric, silhouette, and cultural reinterpretation, the collection opens the possibility for men to wear skirts if they wish, especially for younger, sensitive men in cities like Paris, who seek quiet self-expression without confrontation.
Stone Flower is about strength without hardness, beauty without performance, and masculinity that blooms.
